WHAT ARE YOU SELLING-How do you become successful at sales without continuing learning on your product?the more knowledge you have on your product as well as it peripherals, the easy you are able to sell  from different perspectives to prospective clients. Sales personnel are  mostly the least with knowledge on technical aspect  of product. There is no successful sales without adequate product/service knowledge .Knowing what you are selling is the surest means of becoming a successful sales personnel WHO IS BUYING-After successfully acquiring knowledge on what you are selling ,your next stage is who are you selling to?i don’t accept the notion of not everyone is your customer so target customer segment. In as much as that principle is applied in the professional sense i believe everyone becomes your customer eventually .Because customers are not only those that holds the purchasing power but there are influencers ,gatekeeper etc in the sale process, that may effect sales or not. So my recommendation as sales personnel, learn to embrace everyone and this will follow up with my last step how to sell to them. THE HOW-Just as i explained in my earlier steps, success in sale premise on the knowing how to sell. You may know what you are selling and even know who you are selling to, but if you don’t know how to sell and who you are selling to , success in sales will always be a challenge. This goes on to make my point, you should consider everyone as your customer. Because as i stated earlier ,if  you know you are selling to a decision or  influencer of product in the cause of your sales process, you will appreciate who you are selling to and what to communicate in convincing the person in moving unto the next stage of the process. Studies done suggest most of business start-up fail within their first 5years.  I fail to admit that in context because what these studies suggest as failures i categories them as part of upsurge or down surge in any business cycle.  I admonish you can get into any business so long as you follow this principle of 1: 3 ratio.  That will be the basic standard in ensuring you can be successful in your venture .  Most start-ups fail to survive because they fail to apply the 1: 3 ratio principle when venturing into business or any expense related decision making.  This principle of warfare simply states that to better defeat an enemy, you must have 3times his strength.  This translate in business as, to be successful in any business venture your capital venture in the initial stage should be divided into 3folds, that in the invent the business you incur any set back you have extra two times capital capacity to revamp the business.  The principle will help inform you on what venture you can adequately take and successfully triumph, and should intricate every decision you take in all aspects of the business process and sector, being your cost approach in all expense related issues.  So as a business owner ask yourself do you have 1: 3 ratio funds capacity for the marketing budget? if not rescind the decision and go in for a marketing budget that if the principle is applied it can be executed accordingly.  At all times in your decision making regarding an expense, ensure this principle is intricated.

Unlocking growth base traits in business as sales professional Consistent- Sales personnel must demonstrate consistency in their engagements with customers. Solutions-If you are not prepared to provide solutions to your customers you are not ready to keep them. Tolerance-Sales professional should be tolerant enough of engagements withs customers.tolerance is prime key traits in you becoming a successful sales personnel.   1.COMMUNITY SERVICE-An average graduate complete school at 25,find yourself anything meaningful and so it even without pay ,yes at least for the first 6 months call it community service.after 6 months maximum if indeed you are the graduate you are whatever or whoever will want to keep you and support you with an allowance.  2.KEEP IN MIND YOU ARE A PRODUCT-Most college graduates forget they are products meant to offer a service to earn a living.
